How must I store Sealants?
It is best to store sealants in a cool and dry location where the temperature is between 5°C and 25°C. When the product has been opened, seal the nozzle as much as you can to ensure that air humidity cannot come in contact with the product, which would result in curing inside nozzle/cartridge.
What is the Difference between Sealants and Adhesives?
Adhesives link materials together, though they may lack elasticity. On the other hand, sealants not only join materials but also secure the joint between substrates, accommodating movements. Sealants generally create a less robust connection between two substrates. Hybrid products like Fix ALL, however, provide a combination of a strong bond and an effective seal by integrating both properties through hybrid technology.

Can I Paint over Silicone Sealant?
Unfortunately, paint does not bond well with silicone sealant, therefore you cannot paint over Sealant.
For painting over the seal, we advise using a hybrid polymer sealant like Fix ALL Flexi.
Can you use silicones on Natural stone (For example Marble)?
Standard silicone contains silicone oil that has the potential to penetrate porous stone, causing a darker edge next to the seal, this is referred to as edge-of-seal contamination. Unfortunately, this effect cannot be removed or reversed. However, specially formulated natural stone silicones are engineered to prevent this issue, ensuring that there is no edge-of-seal contamination when applied to natural stone.
What are the Shelf lifes of my products?
Shelf life will vary depending on the product and when it was manufactured. Most products are issued with an expiry date.
How can I remove spilled sealants?
Should the sealant still be in the curing stage and accidentally spill onto a non-porous or smooth surface, it can be eliminated with Swipex or a dry cloth combined with white spirit. However, dealing with porous surfaces poses a challenge, as cleaning is either difficult or often impossible. Even uncured silicone may result in a persistent stain. Hence, it is crucial to exercise extreme caution when working on porous surfaces, and the use of masking tape for protection is highly recommended. To prevent skin formation over the masking tape, it is advised to promptly remove the tape right after applying the finishing solution.
What product can be used in direct contact with Double Glazed Units?
Silirub 2 is the only product certified for this application.
How Can Foam spots be removed?
Fresh foam can be removed with a PU cleaner. Cured foam can only be removed mechanically or by using a special cured foam cleaner.
How should I store an opened can of Gun Foam?
The recommended practice is to securely keep the canister attached to the gun. In case you opt not to leave the can on the gun, it is essential to clean both the valve and the gun using Gun & Foam cleaner. When leaving the can on the gun, it is of utmost importance to empty the can before unscrewing it to prevent any accidents involving the foam.
