SOUDAL Firecryl FR 310ml

Soudal Firecryl FR is a fire-resistant, smoke-tight acrylic sealant designed for use in passive fire protection systems. Its intumescent formulation expands when exposed to temperatures above 120°C, helping to prevent the passage of fire and smoke through joints, gaps and cracks.

The permanently elastic formulation can be painted after curing, making it suitable for a wide range of internal fire-rated sealing applications. Firecryl FR provides fire resistance of up to 240 minutes (4 hours) in suitable tested configurations.

CHARACTERISTICS

APPLICATIONS

Suitable for a range of passive fire protection applications, including:

• Sealing fire-resistant joints in walls and ceilings
• Sealing around fire-rated window and door frames
• Sealing connection joints in building construction
• Fire-resistant penetration seals
• Filling cracks in concrete and plasterwork
• Sealing gaps and joints where protection against fire and smoke is required
• Applications where the sealant needs to be painted over with water-based paints or varnishes

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust and grease. Highly porous surfaces should be primed with diluted Firecryl FR as recommended by the manufacturer.

Apply the sealant using a suitable manual or pneumatic sealant gun. Smooth the sealant before skin formation using a filling knife or suitable finishing solution.

Application temperature: +5°C to +30°C.

Allow the sealant to cure fully before painting or exposing it to service conditions. Uncured Firecryl FR can be cleaned from tools with water; cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
